The October NovaRUG meeting will happen Wednesday, October 25 at the FGM headquarters from 7 PM to 9 PM or so; pizza and drinks start at 6:30. The August NovaRUG meeting will happen Wednesday, August 16 at the FGM headquarters (directions ) from 7 PM to 9 PM or so. Paul Stadig will give a presentation on connecting Ruby to Java with YAJB and Devin Mullins will present on the cross-platform GUI toolkit WxRuby. The main speaker is Xandy Johnson who will be talking about Rake and Tom Copeland will also do a quick talk on building Ruby extensions. InfoEther will again be providing pizza and FGM will be providing drinks. If you want to partake of the grub be there between 6:30 and 7:00. I am going to be presenting on my Alph library which bridges the Flash runtime with the Ruby runtime. InfoEther is using this library in our product development, and I will be posting an updated version Wednesday (the current version on RubyForge is OLD).
